This popular, highly collectible mini block features The Kilauea Lighthouse and contact station sit atop Kilauea Point at Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge.
The Kilauea Point Lighthouse was built in 1913 as a navigational aid for ships traveling from the far east to Hawaii. It was deactivated in 1976, and an automated beacon replaced its guiding light. The Lighthhouse was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
